Delivery
Business Value
Understand your client's business and product. The mission of your role is not only to finish tasks but also to provide value to the company: read about the industry in which you work, ask the right questions to your managers, be aware of new tech trends, and share them with your team. Be a self-starter and inspire others.
Urgency vs In a hurry
Always work based out of a sense of urgency but without rushing through work: Take care of the details, make sure you have less bugs than expected, recycle code, peer review
No loose ends
Never leave conversations hanging. Always answer your slack/teams messages in a timely manner.
Follow through
Don’t leave unfinished tasks and always respect timing and commitments to deliver a quality work in a timely manner. Allow your team know how are you investing your time or if you have questions or difficulties with enough time to make it to the deadline.
Questions
Ask the right questions at the right time. Remember that you have the support of two teams, your client's one and Zaga one. Use the Zaga Coders slack channel to seek for advice from your Zaga teammates. Prefer the side of over-asking rather than under-asking.
Follow through on commitments
General work and sprint commitments need to be achieved as a team. Be transparent with your hiring manager. Remember that you always can contact Zaga's Delivery and Account Manager Ana López in case you need help.
Versatility
Go outside of your comfort zone. Expand your skills. Learn new things and become better at your job every day. Once you understand deeply your project, think on how you can expand the scope of your role within the project . We have resources available to help you in your expansion quest, you always can talk about this with the HR team.
